Fees are four figures
VETASSESS, the assessing authority for most general professional occupations, publishes A$1,146 for an offshore applicant and A$1,260.60 onshore including GST. Priority processing is charged on top. Nursing goes through ANMAC, ICT through the ACS, and medical pathways through AHPRA, each with its own fees.
Outcomes have a shelf life
A VETASSESS outcome letter is valid for three years from the date of issue, and other authorities set their own periods, so a slow visa process can outlast the assessment that started it.
Certified copies are a separate cost
Some assessment and visa routes ask for certified copies and, where documents are not in English, for accredited translations. Online lodgement usually asks for colour scans of the originals instead. Both services are billed per document.

The package carries both timestamps. Everything you send sits in files/, under its own name, so a package with more documents simply contains more files.
