Pagefreezer pricing: there isn't a published one
We looked in six places on 16 August 2026: Pagefreezer's own site, G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, Software Advice and ITQlick. None of them lists a plan price. This page records that, explains why, and says when the product is worth buying anyway.
The honest verdict, one sentence
Buy Pagefreezer when you have a retention obligation and need whole websites and social accounts archived continuously for years. Use ProofSnap when you need one page sealed today as an exhibit and want to know the price before you talk to anybody.
These are not competing answers to the same question. If a regulator can ask you for three years of your own website, no self-serve capture tool covers you, including ours.
Where we looked, and what was there
This is the whole finding. No estimates, no reconstructed figures, no "industry sources say".
| Source | What it shows for Pagefreezer | Checked |
|---|---|---|
| pagefreezer.com | Public pricing not disclosed, demo request | 16 Aug 2026 |
| G2 | No pricing plans listed | 16 Aug 2026 |
| Capterra | Custom pricing, no free plan | 16 Aug 2026 |
| TrustRadius | No pricing plans listed, contact vendor | 16 Aug 2026 |
| Software Advice | No published plan pricing | 16 Aug 2026 |
| ITQlick pricing guide | "Contact for pricing", states the vendor does not publish publicly; guide dated 11 Feb 2026 | 16 Aug 2026 |
If you find a specific monthly figure for Pagefreezer online, check what it is. Aggregator sites often display a "starting from" number that is an editorial estimate or a competitor's price shown for context. ITQlick, for example, lists ArcTitan at $4 per user per month and Microsoft 365 Backup at $1.50 next to Pagefreezer; those are other products, not Pagefreezer rates. We are not going to reprint a number we cannot attribute to the vendor.
Why it is quote-based, and what that costs you
There is a fair reason for it. Pagefreezer's unit of value is not a capture, it is an archive. The price has to absorb how many sites and social accounts are collected, how often, how much data accumulates, how long it is retained, and which collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Slack are included. Two organisations of identical size can differ by an order of magnitude. A published number would be wrong for almost everyone.
The cost of that model is not the licence fee, it is the calendar:
- Scoping before a number. You cannot compare against a budget until you have described your estimate to a salesperson.
- Annual commitment. Compliance archiving is sold on contracts, so the decision is a procurement exercise, not a card payment.
- Nothing happens today. If a page is being edited or deleted right now, the quote process is the wrong tool no matter how good the product is.
The third point is the whole reason a self-serve category exists. Evidence work has an urgent tail: a post that will be gone by evening, a listing that changes when the seller notices, a profile that gets locked. That tail does not fit a sales cycle.
Feature matrix
Pagefreezer wins five rows here, and in its own category it wins them decisively. Anyone telling you a browser extension replaces a compliance archive is selling you something.

|---|---|---|
| Continuous, scheduled archiving of whole sites and social accounts | Yes, the core product | No, on-demand capture only |
| Regulatory retention (SEC 17a-3 and 17a-4, FINRA 2210 and 4511) | Yes, WORM storage | No |
| Search and export across years of archive | Yes | No, each package is standalone |
| Enterprise collaboration archiving (Teams, Slack) | Yes | No, captures the visible interface only |
| Public access link for a regulator to browse the archive | Yes | No |
| Price published without contacting sales | No | Yes, all tiers |
| Capture something in the next five minutes | Quote first | Install and capture |
| Captures content behind your own login | Configured collection | Yes, your existing session |
| Open-source verifier anyone can run | Not published | Yes, MIT licence |
| Verification scripts inside the delivered package | Not published | verify.sh and verify.ps1 |
| Public blockchain anchor (OpenTimestamps) | Not published | Yes, from Professional |
| eIDAS qualified timestamp for EU matters | Not published | Yes, on Enterprise |
| One-off purchase with no contract | Not offered | SnapPack from $4.99 |
Rows shaded blue are ones Pagefreezer wins. "Not published" means the claim could not be found in public documentation on 16 August 2026, not that the capability is absent. Nothing here is a statement about the admissibility of Pagefreezer's output. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
One group, two products, and which one you were actually looking for
Pagefreezer is based in Vancouver and archives websites, social media, text messages and collaboration platforms for regulatory compliance and eDiscovery. In April 2015 it launched WebPreserver as a separate product aimed at law firms, law enforcement and investigators collecting evidence from websites and social media, and in June 2018 WebPreserver became a wholly owned subsidiary.
That matters when you are pricing. People who arrive searching for "Pagefreezer pricing" often want the evidence product rather than the archive, and the two are sold differently. If your job is one exhibit rather than an ongoing obligation, you were probably shopping in the wrong aisle, and that is worth knowing before a scoping call rather than after it.
Our full side-by-side is on the PageFreezer vs ProofSnap page, and the whole field is laid out in best web evidence tools 2026.
What the urgent half looks like
No scoping call, no archive to configure. A side panel.
A compliance archive is a programme you set up once and run for years. This is the opposite shape: you open the page, press capture, and the sealed ZIP is in your downloads before the kettle boils.
- Captures from the session you are already signed into
- Chain of custody with NTP time, DNS, TLS and HTTP headers
- Interface and evidence PDF available in 29 languages
To be clear about the limit: this keeps no standing archive and satisfies no retention rule. It handles the page that is about to change, not the three years a regulator may ask for.
The ProofSnap side panel, English interface
Free, no signup, no email, runs in this tab
Three things you can do instead of requesting a quote
None of these opens a form or asks who you work for.
1. Hash a file in your browser
Pick any file. The SHA-256 is computed locally with the Web Crypto API and nothing is uploaded. It is the same hash that seals every file in a ProofSnap package.
Computed locally. Nothing left this page.
What this proves and what it does not. A hash proves integrity, not time. Change one byte and the value changes, but it says nothing about when the file existed. The date is the other half of the problem, and that is what a timestamp adds.
2. Download a real evidence package
An actual ZIP produced by the product, with the manifest, the signature, the public key and the verification scripts inside it.
Download the sample ZIP3. Verify it in the open verifier
Drop that ZIP into the MIT-licensed Trust Verifier and watch it check hashes, signature and blockchain anchor. No account, source is public.
Open the Trust VerifierBeing straight about the paid part: capturing your own pages needs a plan or a SnapPack, and the 7-day trial asks for a credit card at sign-up. The three things above genuinely do not.
Questions people actually ask
So what will Pagefreezer quote me?
We do not know and will not guess. What we can tell you is what drives it: number of sites and social accounts, collection frequency, data volume, retention period, and which collaboration platforms are in scope. Walking into the call with those five numbers ready will get you a usable quote faster than describing the problem in prose.
Is quote-only a red flag?
No. For a product whose cost genuinely scales with data volume and retention, a quote is the honest answer and a published number would be marketing. It becomes a problem only when the buyer's job is small and urgent, because then the sales cycle costs more than the software.
Can I use both?
Frequently the right answer. Pagefreezer holds the standing archive that satisfies the regulator, and a self-serve tool seals the individual page the moment something goes wrong, without waiting for a collection cycle. They are different halves of the same risk.
What does ProofSnap cost?
$8.99 a month for 100 captures, $16.99 for 200 with Bitcoin anchoring and C2PA, $28.99 for unlimited captures with an eIDAS qualified timestamp. Annual plans save about 20 percent. Without a subscription, a SnapPack starts at $4.99 for 5 captures as a one-time purchase with no auto-renewal; creating an account with a card at checkout is required.
This page is written by a competitor. Why trust it?
Check it rather than trust it. Every source is linked and dated, the finding is "no published price" rather than an invented one, and the feature matrix hands Pagefreezer five wins including the ones that matter most in its own category. If a figure here goes stale, tell us at support@getproofsnap.com and it gets fixed.

Corrections. This is comparative advertising with a named competitor, lawful in the EU under Directive 2006/114/EC when it is objective, verifiable and not denigrating. Figures are sourced and dated, we make no claim about the admissibility of Pagefreezer's output, and we correct within a week of being told something has changed.

If the page you need is disappearing today
A quote will not arrive in time. Install the extension, seal the page, and decide about the archive later, when there is no clock running.
The 7-day trial requires a credit card at sign-up and can be cancelled at any time.
